Customized Dampers Built to Fit Any Application

Various Dampers

Every customized industrial damper is built with the project in mind. Sometimes that means engineering a completely custom design for unique service conditions. Other times, it means replicating an existing unit to match form, fit, and function exactly—so installation is seamless and performance is consistent.

From compact 4” dampers to massive 144” assemblies and beyond, we deliver solutions that fit the application, whether it calls for something one-of-a-kind or a proven design that needs to be duplicated.

Wide Range of Configurations

Sizes & Bodies

  • Standard builds from 4” up to 144”, with larger sizes available on request.
  • Fabricated bodies with rolled angle rings, ANSI-drilled, or ductwork flanges.
  • All dampers are produced with a bolt pattern of your choice as standard.

Flanges & Faces

  • Flange connections: weld-in, bolted, or fully custom.
  • Flange faces available as flat-faced, machined, or serrated, depending on sealing requirements.

Shafts & Seals

  • Slotted, stubbed, or thru-shaft configurations, matched to torque and service conditions.
  • Stuffing box designs available for both cryogenic and high-temperature service.

Materials of Construction

  • Carbon Steel, 304, 310, 316 Stainless Steel
  • High-performance alloys: Inconel, Titanium, 253MA
  • Soft seal materials tailored to temperature and class leakage requirements

Seat Styles & Shutoff Options

The right seat style is critical for performance, especially when leakage control and operating conditions vary. We offer a full range of sealing solutions to match the application:

  • Swing-Thru Seat – ~5% leakage, durable option for general service.
  • Scissor Seat – 1–2% leakage, ideal for moderate shutoff requirements.
  • Metal Step Seat – ~1% leakage, designed for higher temperature service.
  • Tadpole Seal – ~0.25% leakage, excellent balance of tight shutoff and heat resistance.
  • Flate-O-Seal™ – Zero leakage, inflatable soft seal with low actuator torque requirement.
  • Monarch™ 4400 – Our patent-pending, zero-leakage shutoff valve with a resilient metal seat profile for true bi-directional sealing. Engineered as an alternative to triple-offset valves, the Monarch delivers shorter lead times, reduced cost, and high-temp performance.

With this range of seat styles, we can tailor dampers to everything from basic flow control to true zero-leakage shutoff in the most demanding environments.

Actuation & Automation Options

From straightforward manual operation to advanced automation, our dampers can be equipped with:

  • Manual levers, gears, and chain wheels
  • Pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic actuators
  • Digital Valve Controllers (DVCs) for modulating actuation, precision calibration, and self-diagnostics

Our Final Controls team handles mounting, programming, and testing, including operation test reports and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) when required.

Built for the Application, Not the Shelf

At Elite Industrial Controls, we don’t push one-size-fits-all products. Each project requires a customized industrial damper and is engineered, fabricated, and tested to perform reliably under the specific service conditions of your project—whether that’s boiler systems, carbon capture, abatement systems, blast furnaces, dust collection, or ventilation ducts.

From compact to oversized, manual to fully automated, and standard materials to exotic alloys—our dampers are built to fit your application. With full customization, proven repeat builds, and in-house testing, every unit is field-ready the moment it ships.
